I love cross-stepping. normal, toeside, backwards, backwards toeside. YOU GOT IT.
i do them soo smooth, fresh, and clean.
now what should i learn next? i can peter pan okay, i can hippie jump, i can do the trick where you jump off the board and jump on (and do a 360 rotation while getting on/off)
so what tricks can i do next?
i dont wanna do a shove it cuz im not at the point where i want to thrash my board yet

You're going to scuff it up sooner or later. Stop holding back and just go for anything.

I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I've got cross stepping down and want to move on but I'm not sure what to move on to. As far as shovits go, they don't do much to your board. I've been playing around with them for a while and I haven't even gotten a single scratch.

Learn finger flips , like the FlatTop and tiger claw. Also work on stand up slides, when you learn slide you can integrate your style and always have a good way of controlling speed =)

Re: I need more tricks, and i love cross-stepping
for all you haters, i had 70a wheels making sliding hard, and learning even harder.
by board has like a 1/4" nose making nose manuals very difficult.
not that these are impossible, but my situation isnt ideal.

1/4 inch is more than enough to nose manual on. i can do it on an evo.

180 nose pivots then a spin big, then try to get G-turns down.

my board is a carbon trylam, it has this 'front loaded camber' or so ive heard it described as. basically most of the camber is in the front 1/3 of the board, therefore pointing the nose a little downward, how do i cope with that?
