    Default Nose-Manual Tip

This is probably the most frustrating trick that takes so long to get down for most people. I finally figured out a good way to do them, but my method isn't on here. I thought I would share just in case it helped someone that is struggling out there. It only works if you do it with your foot basically parallel to the board, just fyi.

Rest the ball of your foot just over the front the center of the trucks...and I mean just barely.
To lift the board, keep your front leg basically entirely straight.
Lift up on your front foot like your trying to stand on your toes. The board should smoothly just rotate up, so do this gently.
As you rotate forward, push forward with you hip to put your weight right over the trucks.
Back foot should just be making enough contact to keep the board straight and to keep it from rising too high.
Keep those arms out for balance.

I went from not being able to pop up more then half a second to doing beautifully smooth manuals after doing this. I hope this helps for any of you guys (and gals) having problems with this.

    Cheers!

I agree with all of those tips. I recently started to point my chest forward instead of leading with my shoulder. This helps a lot when trying to turn during a manual like for a g-turn. Practice is the most important thing when it comes to getting better at manuals though.
