    Exclamation Help Sliding

    hey well yeah... ive been wanting to know how to slide for a while and ive tried it a couple of times. but it doesnt feel right so can you guys [or chicks] help me by descibing the process. i do feel more comfortable going heelside. if it means anything im goofy and mongo. did my first speed check today and was pretty stoked and wanted to get into it some more... i do have slide gloves...so yeah... please helpi feel like a foriener

    look in the sliding section, there are a lot of videos that might help


    I'm trying to learn coleman slides right now, the first few times are going to feel strange, but you get the feel for it

    The trick is to control the board, not let the board control you. Also having some good grip and good soles helps out more than anything. Worn shoes from foot breaking tend to slip off easier.

    Sliding came natural to me. I don't know all the jargon, but I can slide heel side and toe side, two hands or one. Never did a pendulum or 360 slide yet. FL is flat. You pretty much need a good hill for those. Plus I like soft wheels.

    Sliding comes with experience and practice. Learn to just slide to a stop. That's the best thing you can learn. Just grab a rail, lean, throw your hand out, and #### that bad boy sideways.

    Harder wheels are easier to slide on than soft wheels. Try searching the forum for sliding threads. There are plenty of them.

    i can do both coleman slide and front slide they are lots of fun. for sliding its all about commitment and a positive attitude. if you dont give it all. you will fall (hey that rhymes ) make some sliding gloves. easy to make and very cheap.
