Okay guys, so i have been working on my big spin for about a week. I have the motion perfect, but whenever i go to land my back foot is off the board. So what im asking is, what can i do to get my back foot on? i just cant get it. ive probably tried it over 200 times today. LOL comments apriciated.

Re: Big spin tips?
If you tried over 200 times, and you were committing every time, your shins should be raw to the bone. Its better to fall, or take a board to the shin, then it is to land with only one foot on. commit.

Hey check out my video on youtube, titled "nick norton skating" the video is called home away from home. There are a few big sins off 3 stairs and curbs. I cant really explain it but I was in the same boat your in, but I just kept working on them and once you land one of them the rest of them become easier and easier. You will get it, you just have to commit. Be careful sometimes il land on the nose of the board and flip it up at my face, yeah the board will whip up at your face with some speed so always have your arms ready to block it. Good luck, if your in the san diego area I could meet up with you and show you how I do it as well.
I'm not sure if this is your problem but a lot of times landing with 1 foot is a result of unconscious catiousness. As other people have said commit and convince yourself that both feet will find the board. Good Luck.

If your foot is not landing on the board where I think it is you are probably under rotating your body. Flick harder and spin the full 180 and catch it landing rather than trying to land on it once its on the ground. Commitment and full rotation of your body.

I learned big spins going backwards im goofy so id roll with my left foot forward and thats backwards or fakie. I started by just popping the board and allowing it to do a 360 spin once i figured out how to let the board do the 360 then I started adding the body varial, then it will come together. Once you get it fakie, you can try it normal stance or whatever the verbage is. It takes alot of power to get it but once you do its all about technique. Im in san diego bro, if you ever want to skate im down here. I have some sick spots and could show you lots of different moves, the moves I do require a tail the sector 9 goddess is a perfect board. If you want to roll down here call me 760 519 8197 and im Nick, id be happy to help you out.
