3 seconds isn't that bad. if you're already at 3 seconds you clearly know what you're doing, just need to practice.
i have to get used to the nose on the dancer. i can already shov it on the dancer on my first try. its just the nose is so big compared to my other board. i just have to find that sweet spot. just gotta practice.

i know it's a dancer.. but being scared of hurting your board can limit you from learning new things. im just getting nose manuals down now. Concentrate on putting your weight/center of gravity directly over your front truck, and only using your back foot to guide the board.

Make you body look like a "C". thats what I was told. And it helps too.
the only problem is that i don't really mind scratching my board. It's that my dad will take it away if i do? Sucky right
what the ####!

I'd be sure to mention how durable Loadeds are... The Dervish doesn't have much for a nose. It's like an inch or something between the cutout and the tip of the nose and those things are super durable. Show him Spring Dancing on Youtube and how to want to get there. Then make him think about how cool that is and the payoff of having an aged board.
really, the way that I've found is the best way to learn a new trick is to just do that trick nonstop, and eventually you'll just keep getting more and more comfortable
