Hey all, I'm new on the 'Fish but have been riding/dancing for a while. The latest trick I've been trying to nail down in a simple shuvit, but on my 59" Dancer. It just seems like a nice way to end off a few cross steps and planks and all that.
Anyway, I've searched the forums and read up some tips, but I'm more curious to if anyone out there knows any Dancer board specific tips that they know of. Many thanks, and much respect.

start incorporating switch moves into your dancing and work on manuals

That makes good sense, I'll definitely keep working them.
Do you have any tips on the motions for the shuvit when the time comes? Or does it just do all the skills just culminate after practice practice practice..
to shuvit on big boards you have to do it slow. Some poeple who are used to small boards just flick the tail, but that doesn't work for big boards. You have to do a slow-ish 180 pivot and then just before your wheels touch the ground switch your feet.

Hey all, thanks for the tips and info. I'm proud to say, however, that I finally figured it, for myself at least. I got the shuvit! It still needs plenty of polishing and practice to get it up to higher and higher speeds and to make it cleaner, but I'm stoked I learned the basics.
After riding around switch for about 30 minutes, I started doing 180 pivots. Understandably so, riding switch helped riding away from the pivot. After that it took about a good solid 40 minutes of practice to get it. The way I finally got it was by going really slow, focusing hugely on the pivot, and then manning up to jumping back on the board.
All your tips really helped. Thanks again everyone.
