I think these are called inward shuvits? Quite a hard trick. Very hard to explain too. I find the shuvit to be very different from the pivot when spinning inward. For the pivot I found it easier if, after leaning forward to pop the tail up and starting the spin, I lean uphill. But for the shuvit I just stay centred and spin the board under me. It takes alot of practice to get the board to stay under your feet when you spin it, i think it is something you have to figure out yourself.

Re: wrong sided shuvits???
they're FS shuvs, not inward shuvs. Practice, practice, practice. Look steezy as hell once you get 'em down. A lot harder on longer boards-- if you're working with a tail, give that puppy some pop.
i have never done done a shuvit with my back foot on a longboard. I have seen people do it but figured it was much more common on a longboard to do them front footed and i've relized that it takes practice but some hints can help along the way.
One foot goes on a nose or tail. The other foot goes around the middle. Adjust your weight so the tail or nose gets depressed and lifts the opposite side of the board off the ground. (like a manual, aka wheelie) During that motion, slide your foot off the board in the direction you want your board to go and leap upward off the board slightly. If you do it with the right amounts of force and timing, the board will pivot around and you try to catch it with the same foot you pushed it with, as you land on the board.
This works with regular, goofy, fakie, nose-side and tail-side.

Re: wrong sided shuvits???
because of the motion of fs shuv's, they're going to be a lot tougher on a 56" deck.. hell, a shuv is tough on that amount of board.. if you can stick one, I'd love to see some footy. only real advice I can offer is put a ton of pressure on your back foot -- really all the pressure you can.
in street skating that would be a Switch Fakie Back Side(normal shove) Shove-it
questions
are you goofy or regular?
when you go to do the trick your talking about are you in your normal stance just standing on the front of the board?
does the board spin behind you or infront?

I'm pretty sure that kid is wrong -- thats a nollie bs shuv.
thats what i thought at first, but then i realized technically a nollie is a fakie ollie, so for it to be nollie it would be a nollie bs POP shove-it, because the board leaves the ground

a nollie is not a fakie ollie.
regardless, either way, your shuv is gonna require either foot to kick down and out forward. practice that. going fakie or regular or whatevs. remember to keep your weight above the board.
