Trick Tip: Big Standup Slides

I've noticed that quite a few folks have been asking for advice on speedchecks/powerslides, so I thought it might be helpful to film a little trick tip.

Hopefully this will help you fine tune both your balance during the slide and your recovery out of the slide.

If you are just learning to do standups, there are already some very good trick tips from Cowboy Louis and the boys at Gravity that you should check out, as well.

Setup: Rayne Avenger (2009) with Paris Adam Colton 180's and Orangatang Stimulus (86a)

this would be extremly helpful if there were a video on youtube that went in depth a lil more on heelside 180 powerslides...i would appreciate a good video on this much like how the toe side pendy video was done, with a person learning it,

Madangel, here's a great tutorial that Louis and Adam did a while ago:

Louis explains the heelside 180 motion very well, and a lot of the balance tips I mentioned in the latest video can be applied when you're working on 180s.

dude nice!!! that really helped...i always locked up on those heel side power slides, i also find it help ful to lock your front foot when going into the slide, because my problem learning was my my front wheels wouldnt silde... so keep that front foot tight till u break into the slide

and yeah ive been waiting for this video all day, adam said it'd be up today so i checked like every 5 minutes.

I wanted to but didn't say anything in case is was a medical condition or something.

However comma was that a half-hawk or something?

lol, thanks for the laughs (and consideration), guys. I just happened to need a trim and Adam (a bit too) eagerly volunteered his services. Apparently symmetry is out of style...

Looks to me like you just passed out with your shoes on...
