manual/nose manual tips

hey dudes,am learning the manual and the nose manual
please give me some tips

Practice. There are no tips for manuals really, sorry. All I can say is if you arn't making the board tip all the way over when you're doing nose manuals, you arn't bringing it high enough. If the nose is going down to sensitively, try with your front foot sideways, cover the front two screws in the front hardware and that will give make it a little less sensitive.

Go and try 100 manuals each day. If you do that I promise you will get it. Thats what I did

Try them on the local tennis court when no one is around, no rocks, seams, just you and balence. Finding your center is essential. It seems daunting at first, but you'll master it in no time. I remmember trying to manual a boardlength. With both nose and regular remember to be flexible in the hips, your arms are essential to compensate for ballence and always look ahead. Hit a seam by leaning back, or a decline by leaning foreward. Keep Practicing. Peace.

Nice vids kevseadog, sick. I'm up in the 707 in Rohnert Park, over at SSU. Didnt know there was that sick of a skate shop near by, I'll have to check that out next semester when I get me a car. But since you are somewhat nearby, do you know anywhere that is good to skate in Rohnert Park/Coati near SSU?

I'm working on them as well... and what I find to be helping is pushing down the nose with the outside edge of your foot, then quickly putting the weight on the inside edge (instep). That, while trying as hard as you can to keep your junk centered over the wheels. (I kid you not, that's what's working for me)

Ya suprisingly enough your junk actually is vertically in line with your center of gravity so the best way to hold your manuals is keep your hips directly over your truck, also one thing i've found that kinda comes as you get better at manualling is that your board wont stay perfectly still it will move a little like a wave going up and down speeding up and slowing down... or that could just be me.

I agree that was Fing sick! I would have gotten bored of manualing halfway through that!

I'm trying to learn nose manuals but either I dont get the board high enough and I just fall back down or I got it to high and I fall of foreward.

i'm having the same trouble landing a nose manual...but in my case i think its more that i'm 'top heavy' so my center of gravity is slightly different than it is 4 u guys...lol

i'm pretty sure if i keep practicing i will get it tho~

yea nose manual threads are my only pet peeve for people not using the search function. it's pretty funny that you searched all his posts until you found the lone time that he politely told someone to look at some other threads for some supplemental info.
