im goin otuside and stayin outside till i can flick the board up with my back foot (like at the start of a tiger claw) jump off something (like stairs) and land at the bottom with the board under my feet (without a broken face)!.

stairs are hard, try it on flat first and then on curbs. Btw, i think youmean a Flat-top

I do tricks like that all the time on my short board. I think they're called fast plants. I done all kinda of variations. Fast plant wall plants, fast plant fingerflips, fastplant tailblocks, etc. Really fun trick to take to the streets.
