did I say slide? You dont need to ollie to get air. You just need speed and balls. Pump off the coping grab turn and come back in.

answer is still pretty much the same...speed

start small and work your way up. try starting off by just grabbing the rail as you approach just to get the feel of the body position. then start going faster and faster in that position. you may not have to ollie, but you will have to get the nose up.

but again, go fast, grab, pull hard and bingo, air

ok... with a a mini carve, its hard to get the pop right due to a flat tail with a foam kick. you have to use more of a scooping motion with your back foor when doing f/s and b/s 180's. really push the side of the tail around to get it rotating.

really its just practice. ollies on a mini carve work better when the tail is worn down, so the angle is more like a real kick.

some people don't think its worth the time or effort to learn how to skate them aggressively, but once you get it, it feels great. keep at it.
