all noobish enough questions, but let's give 'em a whirl:
How do you safety slide?
You get into a situation where you don't feel safe, and slide till you do (speed wobbles, being chased by a bear, coming into a hairpin too hot). The generally accepted safety slide is a heelside (coleman) pendy.
Are there uses for gloveless sliding? And how?
You can slide without gloves on, its that simple. Very difficult to master (that is, pendys and such) but can and will save your skin if you don't have the gloves on. The 360's and such are just there for looking cool, and that they do.
How good are the Randall 180s for sliding?
They work fine, but many people prefer "traditional" trucks (indys, trackers) because of the lower ride height, and the fact that a reversed kinpin truck (randal) can feel really weird and squirlly on a shorter wheelbase board, which almost all "tech" slide boards are (shorter = >~25")

simple slides make you look sexy, and if you learn with out gloves, you wont rely on your hands later as much, so it is easier. just untill last month i havnt had gloves, and i have been longboarding sense july. without gloves i learned the coleman (and pendy), bert slide, standup 180 (dont really need hands unless you fall =]) and hands down 180.
the way i look at it is when you put your hand down to slide, the wieght you put on it is totally up to you, the only reason you are putting your hand down is for support (and to make you feel more comfortable). if you lightly drag your hand agaist the ground while sliding, gloves are unnesecary.
gloves are obnoxious to wear if your just cruising around, and if you dont mind getting your hand a bit dirty, you dont NEED gloves.

i mean for the casual cruise around. i take atleast one board with me wherever i go, sometimes i bring my gloves if im going to a place where i know there are good hills, but usually i can get away with minor slides without gloves, and when im going into a store/school or something of the sort, gloves can be kinda annoying to walk around with..just my opinion though

Gloves aren't really optional for me, because I can't get into a quick stopping slide without them. These days, if I've got my helmet on, I've got my gloves on too. Stopping from higher speeds without the aid of your hands is a risk, IMO.
(Edit: I see your point about the grocery store. I don't wear gear to get groceries, but that's just 'cause it's so close.)
And on congested city streets, clacking your pucks together can help keep drivers aware of you -- it's the skater equivalent of honking.
Re: Just a few basic questions I havent founds answers to
yeah? lets see a stnadup "coleman" at speed
its also imposllible to pull a pendy or coleman without a point of contact, as the point of contact is you pivot point, speedchecks dot require gloves but pendys do unless you have a knee down or you are going stupidly slow.

thats why i said when im just cruising around.
and i aknowledged there was a pivot point in colemans, and my explanation for not using gloves was you lightly drag your hands against the ground. you dont need to press hard.
you cant really argue against my point because i do it and know it is possible.
