Default [Got two boards] Best one to learn to shuvit ?

I'm in the process of learning some new tricks...Having a hard time with shuvits currently.

Have a Loaded Fish and a Dervish.

Been trying to shuvit on the Dervish but it's not going too well...feels heavy to flick. Gumballs grip too hard and often it falls short of 180 flick because of this. Goes all over the place if I flick too hard.

Which one would you use to learn the trick?

Which one will be better to: 1st learn it, get confidence, then move to next board!
Which one do you think will be easier to start with.

I think my mistake has been hopping from board to board hoping to nail it and it's getting me nowhere. I must really focus on a deck and spend some serious time with it trying.

Which one will be better to get some results fast?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I personally would prefer a dervish. Do this, get into the nose manual for a second, then flick it. If you just try to flick it when its completely flat on the ground, it takes a lot of effort. Also, try doing so you stay on your board and just do a pivot to switch. Do that for a little, then try at the last second before you land switch doing a 180 body varial.

try doing a shuv-it off the nose on the dervish. it also helps if you carve into it.

Easiest would be to ride the fish backwards. That way you have that huge foamie kick thing to use with your front foot.

Once you have it dialed with that, try it off the nose of the fish or the nose of the dervish. It will be much tricker without having that big tail to use, but at least then you'll have the motion down and the confidence to land on the board.

yeah listen to what there saying. to make it easier, just before you flick turn it in the direction you want to flick it, not drastically, just so the rotation is easier.

It sucked for me. Don't know too turny...no place for back foot besides the tail. Thought it was kid of slow. Dunno it wasn't my ind of board. Hated it, sold it, bought a LBL OSD.

"Slow?"

thats not the fish's problem, thats a set-up issue. Decks aren't slow. Wheels, and bearings are.
