ok first of all yeh i have searched, i have tried watching videos and spent hours on my ass arms and back and i just cant seem to be able to nail a heel side slide. toe side i have dialed and i can do 180 etc no worries. but the board jus refuses to slide on heel side.

the board in rideing is a dropthrough shlong, as all my other boards i built have since snapped (average wood) a board is on the shoping list but not till i have some money. but er anyhow.. im running randel 180's bones reds. was stingers but at the moment some pool wheels. any help would be greatly apretiated

Gun it up to about 20 or so. Really just go as flat out as you can and just throw yourself into the slide.

    Default snapping

try snapping real quick into the slide instead of turning sharply and waiting for the board to break traction. push out your back foot as quick as you can and keep your weight on your gloves while keeping all four wheels on the ground.

What I did was I tried to rotate my body by twisting my arm around like I'm gonna pat myself on the back. It works real well, I tried sliding with looser trucks, and I spun around so fast the board didn't stop and go back to do a pendulum so I ended up sliding on my back. Does that make sense?

Try this Sliding in the wet would be easier, and try to find an intersection to slide at, if I hadn't learn at an intersection I probably would have broken my trucks and/or my board.
