Boneless' are hard to land strait. They are usually done 180 or 360. Basically you start out in a drop knee stance(your back knee close to the board) Then you grab the rail of your board with your back hand and at the same time you plant your front foot on the ground and launch 180. while in mid-air you put your front foot back on.

This is a crappy picture of myself in mid-boneless. I don't know if it helps

For a foot plant I do them by riding up to something(curb, bench, etc.) parallel. I pop and ollie but grab the nose somewhere and let my back foot off the board and onto the item that I'm foot planting. I then launch and jump back on as quick as possible. Sorry I don't have any footage of one yet, it's in the works. I guess it looks pretty rad on a longboard.

    Hope It helps

    yup like he said

Bonelesses and nocomplys are soooo fun and not may skaters do them anymore. Once you get the basics of them down its easy to throw in variations like fingerflips and varials and all that. Fastplants are always something that have eluded me, but would love to be able to land.

I've been trying for years to learn nocomplys. I just cant stay with the board. It usually ends up streight up, no matter how hard i try to catch it with my leg.

ps www.bobstricktips.com has all the footage and instruction you need.

back in like 89' maybe we went through a no-comply phase. Its the only trick (an every variation of) we did for what seemed a year. I like to revert em front and backside. nocomply kflips are the **** too. Natas used to be king at the nocomply then public domain came out with ray barbee tearing that shizz up.

I still do those no-comply and variants regularly, all the little kids get all giddy about it. Hey, if they wanna learn em I teach them. It's probably one of the only tricks I can do well these days.

I'm in the same nocomply boat. I'm the only one that still does em. Sometimes I get the "hey I saw those in a video once" or "dude thats old school".

whatever its really the only tricks i havent really lost over the years.

I still watch H-Street's "Shackle me Not" to see if I can take my no-complyness to another level. Those dudes rock the complys all over the place. I can't get enough 8)

2 ways both easy both smooth.

1.) approach a curb (or whatever) Just like your doing a straight no comply, slap your tail hard against the curb and it flips by itself. Jump back on roll away.

2.) Do like a backside nocomply shove it and flip your board with your toe jump on roll away

now go practice and have fun.

Ha, thats the way I do it. Lately it's been hitting my knee before I can get my toe under it, but it still flips tho.

And lexx, If I can do one anybody can, just takes a little practice and patience.

Just do the motion of a boneless slow then do it faster and faster until you can do them fast without thinking about it.

    Default boneless

I have a fairly good tricktip for a frontside boneless on a longboard on www.bobstricktips.com

Backside boneless is another animal. Very different.

Jack Newkirk does great fastplants -- will try to tape one soon and do a tricktip on it. I can't do 'em -- my hip always locks up.
