If you're riding pivots...then get rid of them. tighten them up too.

Well those trucks are the ultimate king of Shakeage and breakage. So just beware.

When you wobble try and stay mellow and don't tense up. That'll make you die. Just skate feerless but not stupidly.

    1)Turn one way
2)When you reach the side of the street turn the outher way
    3)Repeat
That's all there is to it.

go get some new bushings i recomend orange indy bushings. these will make the pivots more ridable. they'll be more stable and more turney. when you have the money i would swap out the components to some randal r2 150's and some abec 11 flashbacks or randal r2 180's and some grippin abec 11 wheels. untill you ugpgrade your components i would keep to moderate speed carving no streight line bombing. have you watched any longboarding videos on the internet yet? they'll give you an idea how to carve along with showing you lots of new things to learn ie pumping, sliding, surfstyle etc...

Does anybody else have a problem downloading the Jakes Rash video? I tried, but it says I'm not authorized to view this page.

ride the board, you shouldn't be worrying about the trucks right now...if any of you remember stepping on your first longboard, you know what he means by wobbly. tighten up your trucks a little and practice kicking it, go around the neighborhood, just get used to kicking it and carving. you're not going to learn everything over night, or online. keep skating. the trucks aren't THAT bad...they will carve, and yeah you'll be alright on smaller hills if you tighten them down. just get used to riding it, that's really all there is to it...after that you'll get bored and learn new stuff...skate every chance you get, and have fun. i rode S9's with those same trucks for like 2-3 years...i bombed on them, learned to slide, commuted, pretty much skated them until the wheels were to the core and the bearings were puking out the balls... save some money, and get yourself some nice stuff when you need it, and learn to figure out what kind of setups that're available, and what you like.
from the heaven i\'ve had, and the hell i\'ve been through... i\'m always comin\' back home to you.

yup, just ride... just get comfortable being on the board and making it go where you want it to.... just ride and enjoy yourself... don't try anything you aren't pretty comfortable with... once you can get to where you are pretty relaxed on the board, you will find stuff gets a lot easier..........
    Longboard is not a verb.
