So i was walkin out of school today with my S9 when these punk skaters come up to my friend and says "hey tommy, why the #### do you hang out with this gay #### longboarder?" and my friend just laughs and "i dont know, but longboards ARE gay" so im just like. what the hell, dude youre not like this. so i was just cruising down the road and when we get to his house (half way to mine) hes like, "why do you longboard dude? theyre so gay."
I get real pissed, "what the hell is wrong with you man? you never say this #### to me before? why do you say it now?" and he goes, "well, you just cant do tricks as good as us on a normal skateboard" i told him id play him SKATE (pretty sure you all know what it is). and hes a pretty good skater, not the best, but likely my equal. then his little sister comes out
I told him hed start off and he just shoved his board in my hands like i was playin a stranger. i pop shuvit. he pop shuvs it, then he heel flips. when i tried to do mine my sack started hurting so i came up short and got an S. i take his board and nollie. he nollies, and does a primo roll. i took the K and just decided to say "so you think longboarders cant do tricks?" and he says "no duh" so i cross step (be sure this is a shortboard) and 360 pop shuvit. and i was like in my head but my face was .
he just took the S. he tried to hardflip but came up short, so i coss step to body varial onto the nose completely on accident and nollied it. he tried and ate hard headed sh!t - K. then he goes "why the hell are you doing those gay longboarding moves?" and i said "cuz you said longboarders cant do tricks on a regular board" he kickflips, i kickflip, then i do a 360 slide. he took the A and then tried to 50/50 off the curb but just fell again and he gave up
So he was like, "oh what the hell did you do all that gay longboarding stuff. that #### shouldnt count, do something like i can do, like youre supposed to do" but i just said "i did it on your board, and it counts. and the whole point of skate is to do what the other guy cant" so he bails and his little sis is there on the curb. in my head i was thinking, did she really have to see that? but also, i just proved to him, my own friend ive known since ive moved to corona, that we can do longboard tricks on a shortboard.
my friend has alot of potential, but he hides it in the face of the "popular" skaters with the tights, wristbands and latest lakai shoes. i dont know why he just went under the influence that longboarding sucked all of a sudden. poor guy doesnt know who he is. but the whole point - you can do longboard tricks on a shortboard in a game of skate

usually when that happens i whip out my earthwing drifter 35 and chalenge them to a game of skate on traded boards ( I ride theirs they ride mine) then i win because 9 times out of 10 they cant even ollie the damn thing
i hate close minded skaters like that. gives all kickflippers (ha i dont know if people use that term, but my friend started using the term) or shortboarders bad names, and not all of them are ignorant posers. but thats hecka cool you kickd his butt in SKATE.

I mean, mad-sick-dopenasty props for the tricks and all, but I have no idea how I would respond to something as ridiculous "Why do you longboard dude, they're so gay."

woah. that kind of close mindedness is just furthering the gap between shortboards and longboards. i mean, we are all riding on pieces of wood with wheels, and he/she shouldnt be ridiculed for how they ride theres. i mean, i like riding shortboards and longboards (longboards more mind you). dont insult someone for doing something you think is dumb, when essentially your both skaters.
