    Default Cornering

How is cornering done? I've tried figuring out myself but I couldn't get anything good. What I want to do exactly is manage to pass through that tight 180 on a decent fast hill (35-40mph), and the turn is kinda too tight for me to carve. Oh and I gotta do this toeside. Any help appreciated dudes and dudettes.

What I find works best is grabbing rail near the front of the board and leaning out, you can use a knee pad and drop knee for kind of a three point system, but you'll need a cutting board on your knee pad. For some good cornering action go to this link.

Its some coastlongboarders. I'm the one in red. Watch Toby, the one in black with a backpack for some excellent form.

So cornering is just like sliding, except you don't push it as hard, right?

For cornering, if you can make it grip the whole way through, thats faster. If you intend on sliding the corner, start a slide but keep in at a slight turn rather than a hard one. Follow the turn.

start your turn from the most oustide point of the course before the turn so you go around the most inside line possible and then leave the turn and shoot back to the outside again like race car drivers do and follow the directions crank gave ya

I find most corners have a tree or light post at hte corner.....

I use my spidey power to web sling it and swing around the corner.

when I run out of web, I start wide, go tight, and end wide. it will acually give the run a wider radius and let you ease it out in the middle if you need to.

try the spidey powers first though

I tried using spidey powers, but I only managed to glue my hands into my sliding gloves, so now I have gloves instead of hands. And it's starting to smell..

dood, you gotta cut spidey holes in your spidey gloves!!!

as far as your current issue, I'd soak them in bleach, that should melt the web, and make your hands micheal Jackson fresh!!
