    Default F**KING 360

I pulled off two 360s yesterday,
    heelside coleman to fakie,
    drop the other hand,
pull it around all the way to regular...

note this was not two 180'z this was the real deal,
sketchy at best but still, yea man I felt mad stoke...

looking to hammer it down this week,

thanks to NinjistsuMethod for the hillside commentary/support

thanks to VA for the most informative slide posts on SF....

and if you are in San Diego you have to hit this hill...

good to hear you got it down. for me, what i thought was a full 360, was actually the board doing a heelside 360. had my friend recording, and i noticed i'm not moving with it. hmmm...who knows, i might just have to 'flip myself over' if that makes any since, i think my body does the 180, because after the heelside portion of the slide, i end up fakie on my hands as if i were going toeside, and it's that moment that i push the board the rest of the way around...yet i still end up regular after the slide facing down the hill...does this sound possible? it's hard enough to explain.

yea I think I can wrap my head around that, I question my 360 as well even after I pulled it off the second time I was like wtf was that? yea I would really like to get it down on tap and study it, I'll be honest though,

I am not doing a sergio 360 thats fer farking sure,

    but I think it's a good start,

all I know is I start reg, slide to fakie, and slide back to reg without crossing back over, all in one slide...

man... with all the definitions in this sport sliding is the least defined...

while I was messing around I did a mini pendulum, it was hilarious the board just went scree fakie scree reg but in like 3 seconds, I was mad wishing it was recorded...

    dude post more vids!

i can do those 2 section 360's...i can do 2 full turns, i just need to man up and start doing stand up slides at 30mph. i'm startin' to get it down though. i got some video the other day, but it's not really sliding video. just walking and rippin' ski down mellow hills. gotta get it uploaded. i got an old one uploaded. http://seinfeld.arrowstreet.com/vbds/vbryan.mpg
i'll try and get some 360 videos as soon as it dries up a little. and those fast pendulums, my boy has a vid similair to what you're talking about. those are always fun. http://seinfeld.arrowstreet.com/vbds...sspendulem.AVI

I wish there was an indoor hill like that one in the first vid somewhere near me. No rain problems! your Soooo lucky to be able to skate that!

As for 360's, i found them loads easier when i dropped a few inches and started skating a smaller board than i had been. They became less drifty and in 2 parts, and instead were proper snappy ones!

yea I just set up a 34 inch board, see how that works out...

I also pulled off a faceplant slide this week, ninja showed me, you put your hands down in front of the board slide foreward so you are far ahead of your board the you slide your toe side out, you can bring it around to reg like a pendulum if you want or just ride it fakie, big fun...

Is that like a surrender slide? They scare the crap out of me!! I can't figure how to get out of them, and just end up having to roll away from the board, or slide in a press up position untill i stop!!

push with one of your feet, I do the front board foot and it will slide back to reg from fakie, I have found you need lots of speed...

    lots...

I pulled off the faceplant aka frontside 360, then a backside 360 all in one run... mad stoke...

the slide in the garage before the night shot? that'd be my sketchy layback slide...it looks alot nicer now. i personally like the one before that, carving into the toeside pendulum...just looks too sick for how slow i was going. i'm using 94a cliff sliders btw. as for the 'indoor hills', gotta make the best out of what you got (parking structures) when it's pretty much flat where you live.

good stuff, for the sliders are you using risers or what?

yea I like your slides, I wish I could pack one of our hills in a box and send it to you...

360s are kickass, using the kicktails to adjust weight placement (or even lift wheels!) is bad style-plant solidly over the truck bolts

the next slide I am working on is actually a one truck up while I do a pendulum on my back truck heelside, I have landed it but sketchy at best. I am almost always riding over my trucks, in my avatar I am actually transitioning between slides and riding fakie hence the weird foot placement...

The one truck up pendulum is officially known as a 'mandulum'. i.e. manual/pendulum.

    Do it!
