Default Hey Guys, How do I Slide?

    Rail, that is.

I can pop rail stands alright, but Primos, not so much. Short of practicing, anybody have any tips?

I'm trying this on a 38" deck- "Get a freestyle skateboard" is a perfectly acceptable answer...

try in a slick garage or wax the ground. I used to be real good at these in my shortboarding career.

    Thanks for the tips.

I think a major part of my problem was how I was even getting into the rail stand position- at first I was hooking my back foot undearneath of the right side of the deck infront of the trucks (riding regular), then flipping it over... etc... etc... but now, I've found that tipping the board forward (if that makes any sense) and catching it on the rail makes primos a bit easier. I've made it about 6 inches sliding before I catch a crack or something... but it's a start...

get little roller ball things in your axles . and wax the floor. i waxed my basement floor and i could take 2 pushes and slide 10 feet.

Roller ball things? I was thinking offset wheels to cover the axle ends but... roller ball things?

Now I've got my Tail Devil, Torch Trucks, exposed axels and flints embedded in my sliding gloves... I can tell tommarow's session at the gas station banks is going to rock!

For a primo slide.. if I remeber correctly you need to tighten up the trucks a bit. with your feet over the truck bolts(front and back) you push with your toes and using the pressure from the bushings(think presure flips) to pop the board onto its rail. With your feet being over the truck bolts before the pop that should align them to land on the wheels. You then need to lean back a bit to actually slide. Hard wheels that align with the edge of the board would be safer than sliding on the axles... And speed is the key but also very unsafe

I haven't tried in a while but I spent 3 years of life riding a freestyle board and did them often.
