Here’s a link to my first little video - made today! It’s some footage of me carving one of a million lines at the local bowl. Not much of a video really, I’m just experimenting. A fun place to carve and mess around in though.
It’s an AVI file (which is Quicktime I think) but I found that saving it to your hard drive (right click on it – save link as) allowed for smoother flowing video. At least that’s the case with me here. Then again, this computer blows. I have lots of computer experience but not much when it comes to video so…
Anyway, let me know what you think guys/girls and thanks for viewing!
using a mac and quicktime the video worked w/o any stuttering.
you can make the video stream if you activate "play/load while opening" in video properties and save the file before uploading. (I forgot to do that before uploading my clip though and I don´t know if that is a quicktime pro only feature. also this feature may be named different, cause I´m using the german version.)
keep on experimentig with a/v - it´s such a big fun if you´ve got your first 15 min. video with soundtrack. - and yes - it´s easier on a mac! (no intention to start a mac/win flamewar but my personal opinion.)

Thanks dude, glad you liked it. I wonder if anyone else had any success in viewing it smoothly. It's probably just my computer to be honest. It's old and in need of replacement, but, that's gotta wait.
I just veiwed it and it was nice and smooth - i'm using the comps at my local cybercafe so i dont know anything about em .splendid bowl ya got there - fink it's inspired me to go to brixton in south london and have a go at bowl ridin, never done it before.
That was a nice vid man. I especially liked how you're going around in the matrix glasses and nice jacket 8) ! You got some nice speed in that bowl. Very nice overall. Could use a soundtrack, tho.

Yeah, the retro garage jacket and black wraps were cool, too.

Aaahhh yes, my blue corduroy jacket. I love that thing. I wasn’t supposed to stay long but after a couple of runs, the coat and glasses came off for an all out session.
I was a little disappointed in that they were so zoomed in on me. I took some footage of my friend doing the exact same line only zoomed out and the result is much nicer (maybe I should post that too). Zoomed out you can see the whole park and you get a much better view of the line not to mention a better sense of speed. Zoomed in the park looks small and the speed slow. Oh well, it's still OK I guess.
