grip tape fun

You can see my first grip tape attempt in my sig. It came out better than I expected, but not half as good as all the guys on here.

Someone will probably get to doing this before me so I might as well post it... Has anyone ever tried painting a blend of colors on the wood and then gripping over it and cutting pieces out? I think yellow/orange or purple/ultramarine would look cool... or a stained sunburst (you probably know what that is if you play guitar or paint or something...)

not nearly as many as you'd think. grip actually cuts pretty easily.

The left side's a bit crooked. This was my first time putting grip on anything, turned out pretty well considering that.

Heres a little whoopdedoo i did on my drop pin. My only complain aobut the LBL was that i had to re-grip it but it turned out nice. Its clear tape with somehting extra to show people who dont know which way it goes.

Here's my first grip job involving more than one stripe...did it about a year or two ago when I bought the board used from somebody here...
