I ordered the board late July and let me say, it's definitely worth the wait.
I ordered it custom with a bit more camber and the light flex from the dragonfly so it probably feels different from the regular mosquito. The flex is awesome. A bit less flexy than a flex 4 vanguard, but with a lot more snap. A LOT more. First time I felt the snap, i thought it was going to throw me off the board. This board pumps like mad. I was able to pump up inclines that I would have never been able to on the vanny.
The dropthru cutouts are extremely generous...I was able to fit the bear baseplates with no problem whatsoever. One thing I kinda miss being on this board is concave, but my feet did not feel like they were going to slip at all thanks to this gnarly grip tape (you could cut yourself badly falling on this stuff). The lack of concave did make me have to look down when shifting my feet though...
Overall, this is a helluva board for what I want it to do, which is commuting, pumping, carving. Hell, it's even stable at speed...
Cost me $155 for deck w/ carbon fiber + $10 shipping and its definitely worth the price...and more.
Steve did helluva job on this one. I'll be surprised if these don't start selling like hotcakes. I'd much rather ride this board than the loadeds...
it's awesome that you're able to have your deck customized .. i.e. flex, camber, etc ..
what about the color? usually the mosquito isn't black on the bottom, is it?
I'm gonna have to sleep on trad'n my loaded pin in for this....... but I really want to as of now.
