Here at Randal Trucks, in our never ending quest to constantly improve our line of trucks, we've decided to update the ubiquitous box we pack your trucks in. We're pleased to announce our "I'm On The Box" Contest. Here is your chance to immortalize yourself on the side of the Randal Trucks shipping boxes, and to see your image being shipped all over the world. We want killer images of you, skating on our trucks and looking good! Submit any action photo you've got to us for consideration and you might become the image printed on the side of all the Randal boxes!
Submissions should be medium to hi-resolution. We'll be printing directly onto cardboard, so the winning shot will be converted into a duotone suitable for printing on corrugated boxes.
To Enter, you've got to do two things:
1) Post your picutre in this thread on Silverfish (click "this thread"). Explain the shot and convince your fellow skaters how and why you should be on the Randal box. Also,
2) Send your photo, name and information listed below in the rules to onthebox@randal.com.
Rules:
Participants may submit one photo for consideration.
Images should show you skating and we want to see the trucks. Your chances of winning increase if those trucks are Randals, by the way.
Submitter needs to hold the rights to the photo or get permission from photographer.
Contest deadline is May 31st at Midnight "Silverfish time".
Contest winners will get a Randal Truck swag pack, as well as international notoriety. That's right, we have stuff for you, too!
So what are you waiting for? Get skating and start shooting.
The sage, Longboard Buddha once said, "A tree spends 100% of its lifetime in a static environment and only after its reincarnation as a deck is it allowed to move at fast speeds...
when allowed, the wood will give thankless service if
allowed to flow."
Here I am riding in the rain, downhill, on "Fron." Chris took the picture, came out a lot better than I expected. Raining outside, I told myself "To hell with it, let's skate." Cool to see the water dripping down the trucks and wheels. Doubt it'll show up if it ever made it on the box (which I highly doubt!)
Randal 180's.

Here's mine, its a no comply off a brick wall on my vanguard. The picture still looked a little bit blurry after taking around 50+ pictures, so I edited it a little bit to make the colors show up more, so in case it does get on the box (which I doubt will happen) it will stand out more. I thought I might as well give it a try, since it's worth it for some new trucks

i put a cropped and uncropped copy of the same picture in this thread.
this is a photo of me downhilling on one of my local hills. I was testing out a new board that day, and what better trucks to throw on than Randals? no other truck company has such a wide range of combinations to effect the ride like randals. you can really make any setup feel awesome with them. i have owned many sets of other trucks and even a set of precisions, but i keep coming back to randals. they were my first set of longboard trucks and i still ride them. whether its Bombin', Carvin', Cruisin', Slidin', Randal is the best choice. Randal FTW.

Damn... I haven't had an anal orgasm for a LONG time... Can I borrow your tongue??? You're GOOD!
This one was taken in Japan near Shizuoka, a city pretty close from the mount Fuji. It's one of the craziest road I've ever ridden. Narrow, with tons of hairpins, corners after corners with no time to rest, steep and with no guardrails... instead you have a 10cm high "sidewalk" (but you dont have enough space to walk onto it so...) that impeach you of falling down cliffs of 5meters minimum up to a good 15/20meters at the worst part of the road. Very few cars are climbing this hill, but when you end up being in front of one, you barely have enough place to pass by it. The entire road is about 4 kilometers long (2.6 miles or so)
And guess what?
There are hundreds of roads like that in Japan . I have ridden some, but the best ones are still to come this august.
And yes, I ride Randal Comp II Speedboard edition. I only ride these for DH and even after 3 years or so rididng them, I still have them setup with the stock bushings (to be honest... they are completly dead and really suck now lol).
Anyway, it was one of the most dangerous road I have ever ridden in my life... and one of the best memories I've had on a skateboard. I LOVE THAT ROAD.
Photo taken by my girlfriend who was nice enough to drive up and down the different hills all day long.
Flavien
PS: If you choose my picture, DO NOT HESITATE TO PHOTOSHOP IT TO MAKE ME LOOK STRONGER

Picture I took of my cousin hitting a hairpin with his Evo with 35/50 Randal Combo
forgot to tell why this pic should win... and it is too late to edit the post so i'll post it here.
Me and my cousin's first longboard came with Randal trucks and we haven't switched since. Not only are these our first longboard trucks, but also the only ones we prefer. These trucks are seriously worth every penny and totally worth it. Get them.
Me and my cousin (chutimnspitimout) drifting the hair pin in Dung Beatle road. Pic was taken by David Rajewski but he sent us the picture himself and gave us the rights to use the pic.
I believe that we should be on the Randal box because when a young person receives his Randal products and see that we are on the box, that person will see that this sport isn't just for the adults, but for everyone of any age.
I am running Randal DH plate with 180 hangers in front and a regular Randal 180 in the back
My cousin is running a regular Randal 180 in the front with a Randal DH plate with 180 hangers in the back.
This was my first ever ride on a set of Randal trucks. I bought a Rayne Vice and set it up with some sweet RII 180s and Grippin's and spent the rest of the day charging around on 'em. Best time ever haha.
This is a pretty cool contest. I feel like more companies should do stuff like this. It's neat that Randal is involving their customers in some of their decisions. Good stuff.
My friend Joe and I (eli shmouse in the back) drifting through a hard turn on our favorit hill here in Northern Cali. The shot was taken during a outlaw race were the road was soaking wet.
I am on randal DH with 180 hangers and Joe is on Randal DHs
it is on a large file taken on a really good camera and can be croped and zoomed in ALOT
