For clients outside of silverfish, I charge around 100$ to 120$ per hour depending on the job of course, but I find that a lot more often than not the clients prefer to pay on a per project basis rather than hourly ( since they will not be able to measure how fast you are and they sure as hell are not going to pay you 1000$ for a logo if your slooooooooow. Lol

Just take my prior advice if you don't have an idea of what to quote, the method I posted wasn't a set in stone guide for people that already know how to quote, its more for those tons of artists that have no idea or that know that they are undercharging and don't know what to do about it.

All cases are different, all clients are different and all quotes might not always be different, but you will find that a good amount will be.

dont knwo if this is the wrong place to post this but, what do you use to put your art on boards? i was thinking paint pens and niko's. and once the art is on the board how do you seal it so it doesnt flake off and fade away, im looking to make a dancer and want to do a really nice job over my holiday break. thanks

i find myself using alot of watercolor more than anything on my boards. i use alot of acrylic paint as well and markers of all kinds, i like playing with different mediums and seeing how they react to the woods i get boards made out of.

For sealers i have used minwax poly urathane in a can and in a tin can. both work good, but tend to yellow if over exposed to the sun. not much but it happens. you can also use a ton of different stuff to seal and clear coat. but i find the easy attainability and ease of use of simple polyurathane works wonders for me

Wow Rod your pricing model is just like mine for studio/session work as well as live sound production. It's funny how pricing in the arts is able to cross genre lol.
