Looks pretty cool, i like your style...

Might be careful when your doing thin lines like that though, it can rip up or tear if you ride it rough or crash with your feet on it.

...still got a long way to go???!!!

Are you going to fill in all those spaces with colored grip? Man, that's gonna look killer. But, you're right - your fingers will be dead. Good luck.

You should just vinyl that design on there and put clear grip over it.

cool man, good design. once you finish it it'll be sweeet. when I finished my sjull for my snoboarding helmet - teeth and all- it looks mean machine.
I agree wiith 89carver, you should either paint it on the bottom too (or a 2nd but simlar design) or use sign-maker stickers. Thats what I used.

That is impressive. Stupid question: Are you cutting black grip and sticking it onto the deck, then putting clear grip tape on top of that?

ill keep u guys posted when i get more done

shoulda, woulda, coulda, didnt wanna. i wanted something different. anyone can lay a graphic and lay clear over it. give that a few sessions, the clear will look like crap.

the design is done by an local artist. im sure he would appreciate this more knowing the time and effort that was put into it vs printing something out and slapping clear over it.

itd be a dif story though if it was an actual work of art (painted, drawn, airbrushed, etc) and sealed in but printing something out isnt nowhere on the same level...

but yea as i said. i still have a long way to go...in other words its far from being done.

mitch- no cleartape here. jus wait n see

Needs inverting. Is that why it's a sneak peak?

i agree, inverting the image might work out better. i've tried designs with wee pieces sticking out like that and they only last one or two rides.

i love the design, i'd just hate to see it wrecked!

That is very nice. But I would seriously recommend taking the time to trace round the negative space with some clear griptape. It will actually look better, and of course be far more durable/grippy.

I did it on an intricate design for someone a while back, and it was the best I've ever done I think. Seriously, push the boat out and get some clear grip on there.

Just a suggestion, I think you should lose the box round the edge and extend the legs off the bottom of the board. It will bring out th shape of that lovely deck more, the box kinda hides it.

    Nice though!

i love it but i'm afraid it will move around during riding.......I would almost rather use it as some cool art decoration or something!....speaking from experience, it's just going to get ruined on the deck.

I think you guys are underestimating the strength of the grip. I've ridden some mighty intricate designs and they're still just the same as day 1.
