Re: Disney - Zeke and Luther
I liked the episode where they build the sand replica of the dock and the waves almost washed it away, but their brother came blocked all the water. It showed a real loving connection beneath all that hate.

Hah, I like how this thread became a reminisce about Rocket Power thread. That show was cool and lame simultaneously. Anyway...

Hopefully it will influence the younger crowd to enjoy themselves when skating, instead of emulating some trendy rebel-without-a-clue image.
I haven't seen much of the show except a small promo or two, and I can't say it's bad thing. I agree with what LTRS has to say, the show makes skating look fun and positive instead giving off that "I'm a cool bad-ass dude that skates, let's break the law, disobey our parents, flip off cops, and be disrespectful people" kind of vibe.
The approach the show takes toward the activity, skateboarding, is positive, and there are many negative attitudes toward skating, so seeing positivity + skateboarding always looks good to me.

Plus, they're wearing pads, and hopefully that is influential also. I learned how to drop in a few days ago and had a helmet and knee and elbow pads. They made the learning process painless and fun by saving me from unnecessary damage.
I'm very excited about learning this new skill, can't wait to go back to the park and keep practicing it.

i love rocket power, i watched it recently and realized the reason why they stopped making episodes is because its a bad influence on kids becauyse they are always sneaking out and getting caught by cops

The closest I come to being black is surfing blacktop
Because I have to keep my head cocked and watch out for angry cops.
If not I'm burning on that hood white hot
And I'm wondering what I did just to get myself caught.
