Yeah people that steal will go to hell...

Some one ripped off Killer Bees fresh BigZigs when he had to switch his wheels in the rain.

When the truck came down the wheels were gone... he needed them for the race and we had to go scrounge for wheels to keep him in the big show... it pretty much sucked...

I would like to catch that #### head....

^ ^ .... oh I cringe when somebody feels that way. There's always stories in the news how "it never happens in our neighborhood" but did and the people wonder what they're being punished for. Bruce - this is one lesson you really don't need to experience personally to believe. Put your stuff up pal. You won't always be in Kansas and someday some flying monkeys will swoop in and give you a badddddd day.

btw - where'd you say you lived exactly? lat/long will be sufficient

Like what the ####. I can't believe someone would steal a board at all, let alone at an event! >_<

Those guys had it going on,, It's obvious they took it easy on him, and merely slapped his wrist (so to say) But it was obvious, they meant business. He got lucky, and probably learned a lesson and it saved tax payer's money by foregoing the police/court system.
I urge anybody to not turn your head if you see stuff that's wrong going down.. Let a handful of people know that you're leaving gear somewhere.. They tend to keep an eye on things and we should all be each other's sentrys

lame... very lame. and I, too, would enjoy catching someone in the act...

I agree with the suggestion that it would be great if the event organizers provided a coat-check-like place to securely store your gear (big lockers like at the train station maybe... I bet whole sections of those can be rented somewhere, and keeping them guarded would work).

but ultimately - it falls on the shoulders of the owner who left it unattended and unsecured. no one should assume it's ok to leave something of value sitting around unsecured in public. no one, no where. be vigilant and responsible for your s**t. end of story, really. sad as it is.

It shouldn't have to be a consideration, but If you lost a 'trunk load' of decks at an event last year, it would be my prerogative to not lose more gear. It should have been locked in the car, or left in a place where it wouldn't matter. Similar to what Lead suggested.

The REALLY sad part is that whom ever stole it probably isn't even riding it.

Good luck Zak, and for shame on whom ever snatched it. I hope the fleas of 1,000 camels infest the thief's pubic region.
yea, man, seriously, gear should be locked in a car or left someplace secured. It really sucks that this happened but its kinda stupid to just leave ur stuff around in the first place. I dont care where you are, if there are other people around, you should learn to take care of ur stuff better and lock them up. This really grinds my gears b/c while we ARE fellow longboarders, some people can be really f-ed up, and will resort to doing alot of dumb things to their own brothers and sisters. I know we wish everyone was as kind and pure as we want them to be but this is real life; if you got stuff that is expensive or valuable, learn to lock that sh.i.t. up!! People will try to steal it! I mean, this is common sense. Dont be so naive to think nothing is gonna happen to it. Im not saying its ur fault for losing it, but maybe this has taught you a valuable lesson to TAKE BETTER PRECAUTION OF YOUR STUFF NEXT TIME.Consider it a life lesson learned.

p.s. find the thief the and beat them down w/ stick. Then 180 pendy onto their face.

I really hope this wasn't the board I saw when I left Sunday night. I was going to my car even before the awards cerimony and found a straw columbia hat with a fish band in the road. I carried it back up to the cerimony since no one was in the lost and found and just left it on the table with the awards. I hope whoever lost that hat got it back.

I was in my car leaving and saw a board, not sure what it was, leaning against a Uhaul tire. I almost stopped and took it back up the hill but figured someone would be back shortly for it.
The one I saw was near the road where the overflow parking exit is. I was tired and had just made an extra trip for the hat with little success finding the owner, my only source of light was my camera auto focus strobe and all my gear was wet and needed attention. This really pisses me off, everyone I met was so cool, anywhere else I would have walked it back up the hill regardless. I hope you get it back. I will keep an eye out in eastern Washington.

Problem with thinking your bro with everyone, is... you ain't.

    People are opportunists.

Sorry for the loss, next time keep it tight.
The sage, Longboard Buddha once said, "A tree spends 100% of its lifetime in a static environment and only after its reincarnation as a deck is it allowed to move at fast speeds...
when allowed, the wood will give thankless service if
    allowed to flow."

sucks to here that. in CA we are not allowed to have firearms in our houses if there is a minor (my little bro) so we compensate with a tomahawk, two sabers, two muskets, with bayonets, a bowie knive an air rifle, a daisy red rider, a bowie knife, a machete, and an indian war club, plus flashlights with 80 plus lumes to bling the perp before we take him down. and then if we have a problem on my street, the m1a, 2 1911s, and the 45-70 come inside (that has happen too many times.)

i live in a peaceful neighborhood. i would say that out of the 300 houses surrounding me, only a small percent are bad. three are owned by child molesters. and one three doors down has... problems. lets just say i have seen the CHP there calling people out in classic "we know you are in there. point is at 52 seconds in
