What the hell does that second paragraph have to do with Rodney Mullen? Look at old stuff to get inspired. Fucking groundbreaking advice right there. Nobody's ever thought to do that.

Painfully obvious point: Rodney Mullen, while a brilliant technical skateboarder, is about as far from "california surf style" as you can get. If the writer actually understood skateboarding, he'd know that Rodney's skating is a hybrid of Floridian flatground freestyle and San Francisco streetstyle.

Just curious: what's typical of SF-streetstyle?

BTW: they could learn that it's the stoke and fun that comes in the first place, not their business.
I feel Rodney's desicion to leave the competitive freestyle scene was influenced by career opportunities, but he never forgot what skating is about.

I'm just talking about flip-in flip-out ledge tricks. It's just tech street.

Rodney's a sick skater; but the guy who wrote this article is a doofus. Fear not: skateboarding's awesomeness outweighs one skater's misuse a bad analogy.

The globe-DVD has a sweet home version by Moby, but I'd have to compare to be sure its the same.

I remember seeing him on a friends DVD a few years back.
Inspired me to learn how to skate.
