There was a skater Hamlet,
Who never did wear a helmet,
he fell a speed wobblin'
cracked open his noggin
and now in his pants he does shet.

A limerick of longboarding I shall write.
For a cool magazine subscription, that would be tight.
I shall write for the win and per chance I might.
This may not make sense for I've been up all night.

I ride in the rain and I ride in the sun.
I slide and carve and have a lot of fun.
Longboarding, for me is number one.
If I had my way, well I'd never be done.

Like a pirate living life at sea.
On a plank of wood is the life for me.
Doesn't matter what I ride, length or size.
When I ride I always have a helluva time.

As the years pass by, under wheel.
The gray in my hair and the older I feel.
I'll always be young at heart when I kneel.
On the front of the board, or slide at heel.

Two feet at the front and the back in the air.
At speed this will give old ladies a scare.
Hold your balance now adjust it a hair.
Ten spaces, you've done it, none may compare.

That feeling is just too precious to lose.
New board, fresh ashpalt, or broken in shoes.
The first ride of the season, the last of the year.
Memories and joy, the reason is clear.
With my board at my side, happiness is near.
