My most adrenilin pumping run was also one of my
    shortest runs.
Went to Las Vegas Last week with my wife, and took my loaded pintail. I just couldn't
go a whole week without skating one of hotel garages. The problem of the hotel garages I found out is, great security, ..cameras and patrols.
Still, I had to go for a ride.
At 1:30 in the morningI put on my Dog Town tshirt and went out to the car.
Had to wait while the security guard cruised around my area.
I skated around my car a few times then
I grabbed my helmet and ran up the ramp to the next
level . Looking back down, I thought, ..oh crap, this looks a lot
steeper from up here than from below, and the concrete was smooth and polished.
I started thinking maybe this isn't such a good idea.
But then dropped my board down and went for it
made couple nice carves made the turn back to the car
just as another guard came down the ramp I just skated.
I ducked down behind the car and threw my helmet and board in the
    trunk.
I grabbed a bottle of water and started back to the elevator with
guard cheking the ramp and next level up and then followed me back to the elevator.

What rush for such short skate.

best memory of the summer was winning for the first time in a TS race and enjoying the rewards by eating a nice apple pie baked by none other than Fatboy himself

maybe tied for the best memory was leading a heat at Munnsville and having striker come up next to you and start yelling at you "where did you get to be soo fast you little ####er"

Thumbs up Re: Best skate memory of the summer so far? Best answer WINS

My best memory, well I do not know if you call it summer. We are slalom racing at the Cold Fusion Sizzler. My last run against Mississippi skating legend Clifton Jennings he beats me out of the gates the guy has me he is at least 1 cone ahead, when all of a sudden he blows out, I hear Lynnbob yell "Eddy he D/Qd stay clean" I make the run clean. I win the C-Class. On the way up the hill Lynbob and Sarah Byrd give me a huge hug. That day Richy Carasco won the A Class, Joe Ioacavelli wins the B Class. I will allways remember that day. After 31 years of skating on my 1975 Bahne fiberglass with the original Bahne trucks AND original Cadillac wheels, I entered my first slalom contest orchestrated by Jonny Miller and the Outlaw Ranch in San Luis Obispo. Up to that point, the only thing I had ever done on that board was skate the mountain roads of Wyoming, Rabbit Ears Pass in Steamboat, Colorado and a lot of steep streets around the Bay Area where I live now. I can't believe it has taken me all these years to discover slalom racing! Somebody put some new-fangled wheels on my old Bahne. Woooweeehhh, them-there wheels were mighty fast-- a lot faster than my poor old Cadillacs! I took a few practice runs, falling on the last one and scraping ALL the skin off the back of my left hip-- it doesn't matter because I won 2nd that day, shaving 1 second off each one of my 3 runs. Ok, so there were only 3 of us in the "girls" division, AND the girl I beat was only 8 years old, but it was a blast! Oh, by the way, I forgot to tell you-- I'm 47 years old and will continue skating until they pry my skateboard out of my dead, cold hands!
