My first random CW encounter

Last week I was at Duke's in Huntington Beach. I was in 12 hour meetings and had little room for a board anyway, so I sat there with some unexpected free time on $2 Fish Taco night wishing I had a board. Guy walks in with a new Arbor and leans it up against the wall.

I walk over introduce myself and liberate the board for a few laps. It was squirelly, but fun just to pump the path a bit. I return the board with my thanks and give a little chat. The guy is British living in Italy on vacation in SoCal. He asks what kind of skating I do - (slalom, lonboard, slide, etc) He says "Oh, would I have seen you in Concrete Wave then?"

As a matter of fact....

Bottom line:

In a Bar in Soutern California talkin to a British guy that lives in Italy. I say slalom, DH, sliding,hey says Concrete Wave!

Maybe less of a realization for someone in Devon that this thing of ours is Worldwide, but a surprise for me.

Boe - I maybe a star in NJ, but so is Joey Buttafucco.

DO - No tattoo, but I told him about how I got Wentzle skating/ shafted Marshall in Ottawa 05', goldenshowered everybody at Athens 04', so it evens out.
