    Default Attention Parents who Read Concrete Wave Magazine...I need your help!

    Hello all,

    I have a favor to ask...I have an ad going in a catalog for libraries (school and local libraries) and I would like to get some quotes from parents about CW.

    If you have any thoughts, I'd really appreciate it...

    thanks
    michael

    "CW turned my son GAY!! Thanks you CW!!!"

    Seriously though, I'm not a parent, but I am a teacher, so my comments might help...

    I think it would be nice to see in libraries, both school and public, because it is a magazine that treats skateboarding as what it is, a sport for everyone to enjoy. It's not geared toward one small age group or subculture, but rather, anyone who thinks they would enjoy skateboarding of any type. It would be appropriate in any location that has an appreciation for, and wants to encourage the adoption of, unique hobbies and skills.

    Thats my story.

    peace,

    Concrete Wave opens younger skater's eyes to the infinite, competetive, and creative possibilities of skateboarding.

    C'mon guy's, MB asks for help and all you got is drug and gay references. Stop acting like skateboarders.

    Michael Brooke...thanks for giving us something remarkable with CW -- as I have told you several times, my CW subscription will never lapse. CW has truly changed life for me and my son. Although no Hemingway, here are a few quotes for your consideration. If you can use any of them, have at it...

    ==============================================

    Concrete Wave is the definitive source for the other side of skateboarding. Michael Brooke reveals a perspective on skating that the mainstream industry does not want your kid to see! -- CM

    ==============================================

    Intelligent, alternative, thought-provoking, ego-less. CW bucks the big money skate industry trend of exclusion, and, by so doing, opens kids' minds and repeatedly proves these forms can be pursued well beyond the teen years. -- CM

    ==============================================

    In our mass merchandised, unispired, no-child-left-behind, sold-out world, CW is a critical voice of reason and objectivity. -- CM

    ==============================================

    CW is doing for the skating revolution what The Endless Summer did for surfing! You're either on the wave or you're not.-- CM

    ==============================================

    Reading CW, kids will learn that skating really is not all about money...there is solid stoke to be had among a genuine, accessible, community that does this for pure fun. remember fun?-- CM

    ==============================================

    CW consistently proves that skating is so much than your own shoe, a set of stairs, and new front teeth.-- CM

    ==============================================

    CW has introduced me and my son to a wonderful, passionate group of people all around the world who skate because of the pure joy it imparts. It is sublime therapy for the mind, soul, and body delivered straight to your door.-- CM

    Concrete Wave is a great magazine for skaters of all ages. It showcases all forms of skateboarding and lets kids know that there's more to skating than simply jumping down stairs or sliding down handrails. Concrete Wave magazine is family-friendly and my 7-year-old son and 9-year-old-daughter love to read it with me. It truly encompasses all facets of skateboarding and broadens a young skater's horizons instead of limiting their imagination.

    Concrete Wave is the only skateboard magazine that I can give my son without any worries about what might be lurking inside.

    P.S. -> I know what you call it when middle-aged men read magazines full of pictures of little boys. What do you call it when little boys read magazines full of pictures of middle-aged men?

    Concrete Wave covers all aspects of skateboarding, while ebracing all generations of skateboarders. It's a skateboard magazine that my kids can read, and understand that there's more to skaters than just a "hardcore" attitude.
    Buying CW is like getting a new coffee-table book every few months. It is the one skate magazine that I can leave out in the open for everyone to read, and not worry about the editorial content being R-rated. This reminds me of the skateboard magazines I read as a kid, before skating was all about attitude and it was about fun.
    The kids that read CW get to learn about the history and future of skating, and the important balance between eras. When you know where you've come from, you can
    clearly see where you are going.

    Thanks Mike & the gang at CW!
