No Ipod for me, but on my backyard ramp, I have been playing a lot of The Jam and Bram Tchaikovsky lately. (yes a big fan of late 70's british new wave). The beat rythym matches the ramp frequency pretty well. A lot of the surf instrumental stuff is good, Dick Dale's harder stuff rips. Agent Orange is really nice too

Finally, someone appreciates the good side of AFI.

I listen to punk music a lot more in summer, when winter comes around I never have the urge. This summer has mainly been The Bronx, AFI, Bad Religion and The Explosion for punky stuff, with easier stuff like Belle & Sebastian, Portugal The Man and Interpol for relaxing. Not to forget all the metal I'm so fond of.

Oh hell, I'll listen to almost anything. But not while I skate, I feel like I've lost control if I listen to my iPod while I skate, so I confine it to before/after. I find Birdsong by Tomahawk is good for getting me going.

Penny wise gets me amped while skating. Something about bro hymn anthem that starts me off. I feel like im going to have my board slip out from underneath me while skating and listening to it because I put more energy in my turns as if im surfing. But ever since I lost my ipod I skate tuneless except for the beautiful sound that comes when my wheels grip the pavement.

I can't skate with the Ipod. I like to hear my wheels go clackety-clack and whack when I hit a ramp or something. Headphones drown everything out, including the noise made by little kids that don't look before they cut across the skatepark. But when they put tunes on the speakers I have a lot more fun skating. Pennywise is great, so is most old-school punk stuff.

Park or Pipe skating, it's definately a quick shot of AC/DC Back in Black to get things rolling. Some Pogues Dirty Old Town is usually quick to follow it up. For carving or cruising, usually some Bob Marley or Matisyahu. For slalom, it could be anything from Modest Mouse, Incubus, Thrice or anything fast and hard. DH? I gotta give it up to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Kansas, Iron Maiden, or some Metallica!
