- my son starts to ride on his own and wants a shortboard for the local miniramp.

- more longboard "labels" will emerge, printing asia-produced decks.

- lots of shortboard brands will hop on that train to profit from that market as well and compensate for their losses in their native market.

- more "engineered" skateboard designs will emerge but only from small builders looking for a niche market.

- downhilling is getting bigger and will get a better public acceptance.

- small communities will close their roads every 2nd weekend for a few hours to attract downhillers and promote their village as sports friendly.
