GM Skateboard Chassis
OK, so it's not really a skateboard, but it certainly looks like one. GM's Autonomy concept auto chassis packs every high-tech gizmo its engineers could imagine onto a form factor that's clearly inspired by the humble deck.
GM's website says "the skateboard chassis creates an unusually low center of gravity without sacrificing ground clearance. This gives the vehicle superior handling while resisting rollover forces, even with the tallest body attached."

I'm not sure how many people know about the Randal Motorboard... but here's some good pics:
Randal Skateboard Trucks - Downhill, Longboard, Slalom, Luge
Looking into a 'greener' version of this.... And some video of it in action will be added to the site soon.

The orginal motoboard was produced by Motobuilt trucks during 80's intil they ran out of trucks to produce them. I think Motobuilt was based out of San Jose , California they made normal skateboard trucks also.

While doing some research a few years ago I discovered that GM owns the trademark rights to the word "skateboard" for use in automotive applications.

But other than those guys, i never figured out, how to jump on the board, while the motor is running and the transmission-wheel is spinning.
A clutch like on the self-made motoboard, from the first post, could really help.

Something tells me that skateboard car thing won't work.
Why?
Crashes.
How are you assured both easy changeablity of body (who wants a different car every week anyways?!) and safety in a crash?
I don't think that "new and revolutionary technology" is going anywhere.

What a video, Lang...
I loved to see those boards being ridden like a regular skateboard. They were very turnable...

If your wheels are labeled quantumotion and have a 0.5inch spacer in them and you are willing to sell, please pm me.
Does anybody know the year of production?
That Halicki looks awesome. Will you restore it? Is the engine running?
I am restoring as well as bought some parts on ebay to get the engine running. Its a trip what you can find on there, NOS carbs for a 40 yr old engine!
and now that I can see how they got this one to work Im going to make one to ride around for myself with another engine I bought.
