These 2 guys need to be found and punished!
This just disturbs me greatly.. And such violent improper use of a skateboard.
I hope they find these guys soon.
Authorities asked the public for help Wednesday in locating two suspects in an Ocean Beach assault that left a man battered, burned and comatose.
Damian Maple, 21, and Frank Montoya, 46, allegedly attacked 26-year-old Robert Schneider during an argument near a lifeguard station off the 1900 block of Abbott Street about 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 27, according to San Diego police.
The pair allegedly beat Schneider on the head and body with a skateboard, then threw him into a concrete fire ring with wood burning inside it.
The victim suffered severe blunt-force injuries, as well as second- and third-degree burns. He remains in a coma at a hospital.
Maple is a 6-foot-2-inch, roughly 185-pound white man with brown hair and blue eyes. Montoya is Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
San Diego County Crime Stoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. The nonprofit agency's tip number is (888 580-8477). Callers may remain anonymous.

What were they all doing at 5:30 in the morning?
Three guesses and two don't count.
Either you are up early for work or you should have gotten off the streets many hours ago.
Trouble will find you after 2:00
Bad deal all around.
Hope they get those boys to a jail near you.

It seems to me that OB was soo much safer back with the bikers were living there....but then PB was nicer back when there were only 2 tattoo parlors and 1 peircing place and locals still hung out at Stingrays and Plum Crazy (OK so I'm old) sadly the beach seems to have run in a weird direction

Your mom is a wise woman. There's a corollary to this that the police have employed quite effectively for ages; Everyone driving at 2am is drunk!

Re: These 2 guys need to be found and punished!
These 2 idiots were on Americas Most Wanted last weekend.
They have both been caught and arrested.

Two Arrested for Australian Tourist Beating in Ocean Beach
Two suspects accused of taking part in an assault have been arrested in Oregon and Idaho.
Suspects Damian Maple and Frank Antonio Montoya were featured Saturday night on the national broadcast of "America's Most Wanted," carried locally by FOX6.
Word of Montoya's arrest in Euguene, Oregon came Monday night.
The 21-year old Maple was arrested in northern Idaho Monday morning after he was foundWord came Monday night that Montoya had been arrested in Eugene, Oregon.
Maple and Frank Antonio Montoya, 46, allegedly attacked 26-year-old Robert Schneider during an argument near the lifeguard station off the 1900 block of Abbott Street about 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 27.
According to San Diego police, Schneider was struck with a skateboard and thrown into a concrete fire ring with wood burning in it. The victim suffered severe blunt force injuries, as well as second- and third-degree burns.
Maple and Montoya, who were described by authorities as transients, were
charged last week with aggravated mayhem and torture.
The arrest of Maple stemmed from a tip called in to San Diego County Crimestoppers last Friday, said Greg Doss, a supervising marshal who leads the
San Diego Fugitive Task Force.
The San Diego Police Department alerted the local office of the U.S. Marshals Service, which passed the information to colleagues in Idaho, Doss said.
Maple, who was in a trailer with a woman and two young children, is now jailed in Sandpoint, Ida., awaiting extradition.
Maple faces another count of torture stemming from an alleged Feb. 9 attack on another man, Justin Hayes, along with a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with force likely to produce great bodily injury and battery.
Each defendant faces up to life in prison if convicted of the attack on Schneider, according to Paul Levikow of the San Diego District Attorney's Office.
