No doubt, that completly true. One indication of that are the fly by nighters selling the stuff at the super stores and low cost versions, as well as ebay and other online outlets.

The internet has really changed things. I think it super-accelerates and super inflates the marketing/buying process.

I find it interesting that more people shoot guns or participate in shooting guns rather than skateboarding. In fact twice as many people are apparently into shooting guns that riding skateboards. Should my next purchase be a gun and a NRA registration?

I don't have an NRA card, but I shoot regularly and have for a long time. Just like skateboarding. They aren't mutually exclusive.
