well obviously it was low budget, i dont think they set out to make a full on motion picture...or even a complete documentary. just some fun little vids - a quick before and after. very cool!

Saw this before, pretty neat stuff. Sucks that somebody would build a stupid playground next to such an awesome bank.

I liked it, I remember those banks from all those pictures in Skateboarder

Kind of hard to swallow and a bit harder to digest.
Just because you can take a naked picture of yourself doesn't necessarily mean you should.

Thanks for posting this up, very interesting.

As a 70's skater I am very enamored with the whole Z-Boys thing.

When I was in Santa Monica this summer, I went to the corner of Bay & Main.
While I was getting my picture taken on the sidewalk by the GF
some dude came out of that surf shop and asked me if I wanted to go
in the old Jeff Ho shop next door. After the coolest "sure" I could manage
he led me in. Lots of old pics of the Z-Boys skating in the 70's on the walls.
On one wall was a huge painted DogTown logo.

There were lots of Bulldog (new) boards on the floor. There were a few
new trucks for sale and a few wheels. I actual bought a set of BDS Conical wheels
(last set they had) that I had been previously unable to locate.

After that I went just down the street and found Bicknell Hill. So
I pulled out my board from the trunk went to the top and did some
long low carves down the hill.

Really cool just to be there! Like it was 1975 again.
    Whooohoooooooo!
