this isnt actually made by the kazaa company, but by a group of programmers that released kazaa lite, a version of kazaa that works but doesnt have any of the spyware crap bundled with it. Its kosher.

kazaa light has the spyware too just not as much.

i thought that kazaa didnt work anymore...people just gave up because of its crappyness

kazaa lite is free of spyware (at least most of the versions are), i use k-lite revolution and have had no problems from it ever. i have also been running various k-lite codec packs for the last 5 years, as have most of my friends. spybot and ad aware, and symantec corporate antivirus routinely turn up nothing, and i have encountered no problems. HijackThis also indicates that nothing untoward is going on in my pc. does anyone have any actual evidence about how kazaa lite and the codec packs have ruined their life? if so i'd like to hear them.

as for kazaa not working any more, it does but less people are using it with the rise of bittorrent and other services like usenet.

yep, i had the same prob
try googling "mov converter" try getting a free trial version that doesn't have writting on the video once you convert it. it normally says "trial version of_____" when u use the trial version, but i found a trial version that is free and converts great. it says would you like to upgrade now every time i try to convert things, but its worth it cuz the final converted product is good.
