Well we all know how lame sliding is, and this dork just made it forty-seven steps lamer, well done jerk face!
One, you're riding a freebord which are so lame they can't even spell their name properly Two, those "specially desingned" gloves look like cheap gardeners gloves with bits of chopping board stuck on, and Three, those "slides" that I just wasted forty-odd seconds of my life watching wern't even slides, that was just rolling sideways with your hand down, I should have you up for false advertising.
Learn to ride a real skateboard then get back to me, hopefully for us you'll kill yourself in the process.

I thought it was a rad vid, but the actual riding and gloves may nead some work. Don't get me wrong, the stuff rips, but I wouldn't pay $30 for somthing I could make myself. I really want to buy a freeboard after seeing your vid though

I partially agree with Gimp. Rather than try and sell something that anyone can make, why not make a site with a tutorial to show folks how to make sliding gloves. That's what we do on the Fish. Visit the Board Building forum. You won't see anyone trying to sell their boards, although some are so nice they get offers to buy em, and everyone give's everyone else help and tips. No one's keeping any major trade secrets. Maybe on your site you can also say that you will make sliding gloves and sell them for $20 bucks (be realistic) for those who don't have the time or tools to make themselves some.
I also agree that I didn't see alot of sliding just rolling sideways, but it did make me want a freebord too.

There's another vid on the site for a Freebording DVD trailer. Handslides are not a huge part of riding freebords.

Some of the hills in the DVD are virtually impossible on a longboard. And if you think you're too cool to slide, you'd definately be *gimping* away from these technical runs.

The pucks are shaped and rounded off by precision CAD/CAM machines, something most riders won't be able to pull off at home.

honestly, i dont think they would make a road for cars to drive on, that would be impossible to longboard on, there may be a road that is more possible for some people than others, depending on your skill, but IMPOSSIBLE, that just sounds like more of a challenge.

the gloves look good, very similar to alot of other gloves that ive seen, but functional none the less. i would possibly recomend some kind of velcro closure to make sure they stay on, but other than that, they seem to work pretty well.

my take on freebords: ive been snowboarding for about 12 years now, and i actually looked into getting one about 3 years ago, instead i got a longboard. it looks like a great training tool, and the design is definatly top notch, but as for freebording compared to sliding a longboard, personally its a hands down decision for me

But I thought that video kicked ass. Those gloves look nice, but they look like the same model gloves that I buy from Lowes for $8.95. Do you use UHMW for pucks ?

Yeah, scrub, your gloves are rather on the pricey side. Especially since they look like they are glued on which means you can't replace the pucks. Lower the price to like $19.99 or at least something reasonable to where people don't think you're a joke.

I don't care if you like or not Freebords... You don't like it, it's cool.
Just don't say that it sucks and try to understand that it's cool for some poeple and that you don't possede the absolute truth about what kind of board is worthy to exist or not...
I really suck at freeboarding but I like it anyway.
