Always wanted a Taperkick when I was a teenager but never had the money. Have been looking at them on Ebay and shaking my head at the prices. Talked to a certain person here online about the dream and he helped make it a reality. Finally got the stuff together to get it built up. I present to you the Fat Taperkick, done up in modern retro parts.

The only thing that would've made it sweeter would be clearer grip on the top... to really bring out that wood...

I'm not used to riding such a long deck with a kicktail. Kept putting my foot back to kickturn and ended up in front of the kick. Really fun board though.

She's got a fine ride! Slightly used though, and the back end is a little tweaked. Makes for speed wobbles when you get her up to speed. Probably a design flaw or from bad care by the previous owner.
