underskatement film festival

any of you get a chance to see this skate / underground film festival?

caught it tonight, some were really amazing, some were really funny, some really uhh....

a lot of arty and super 8 filmed skating, put to good music , including a really cool segment on all the beautiful concrete skateparks in the northwest from the fruit of the vine directors. apparently it's a segment from a new film they are releasing in a week or two. also a really good one on concussion mag.

the best videos seemed to synthesize or discard the whole new school/ old school division, having multiple styles and terrains you know...stylish ollies while bombing hill or a big boneless followed by a flip trick followed by a coleman slide and lots of pools

good stuff..there are only two more towns (huntsville AL and vancouver) listed for the movie, but the guys presenting it said they were still tentatively adding some stops. definitely worth checking out

Sola...the two guys that did it were kind of casually / non-committally talking about maybe doing a couple more cities, so i guess just email them or check back at the web site

Marcus...that sucks...I just happened to see a very small flyer for this at a local skate shop on monday evening, otherwise i wouldn't have caught it either, it seems like it wasn't the most promoted thing for whatever reason

i caught it when it came to hawaii. some skaters took the whole "artsy" vibe to the extreme.
