Alright to respond to this....Yeah I agree we were dumb not to wear any pads or helmets. But that was how my buddy's did it. I, after this fall and two weeks of road rash, and horribly painful showers, decided to start riding with at least a helmet, gloves and wrist guards. At that time I was just starting out, but I got hooked on the rush of speed and adrenaline. I moved back to AK and I have just ordered my own first longboard, its a custom deck made by http://www.krackedskulls.com it;s looks like a steal and an awesome board for speed. What do y'all think?

Oh yeah I forgot to say that I was really stupid because I was trying to bomb that on a carve board not a longboard. So I was trying to make fast carves that was really just an exaggerated speed wobble.....well it threw me. Also that last hill was kinda nuts cause you had to jump off your board cause the road goes into a death turn if you stay on.

could have had a little slide session to stop at the bottom...i believe your buddy did that once. slide gloves would have said a little bit of trouble as far as stopping is concerned i think.

Lol, I like the Tampax box in the back window. I'll have to start sporting that. Those hills look like fun. Oh, and I have the Kracked Skulls board. It's not bad....well worth the $$$
