Hey everyone!

I just finished a documentary style short movie for my school's film festival.

It's called life and is about alternative ways that kids around my area stay occupied. (This includes long boarding)

Shot with a gs500 and a video mic, and used vegas 6.0 to edit

And yes, i'm aware that the interview sound is way off, I was using my rode video mic on a tripod for most of those and it kinda turned out bad. I'm going to get some sort of lavalier mic soon.

we have the classes, but its just the news program, and you have to be in it for all 4 years.

seeing as i just moved here (i'm a junior), they wont let me in to that class....

all of that had to be done on my free time, which kinda sucked, but i love that stuff anyways.

The speedboarding and freeboarding segments seemed more natural. The graffiti and offroading seemed forced a little in the interviews. Enjoyed it all. very good film

Going to jail for Graffiti is wrong.
Sending these kids to jail IMO is a bigger crime than painting a wall. Im glad your doco included the kid telling us this. I was shocked to hear that incarceration was the solution.
