What's in your trunk?

This came up in another thread somewhere a while back, and I figured it might be time to devote a thread to the idea.

The premise? post up pictures of your "trunk quiver". Boards and other assorted things that usually reside in your trunk and accompany you everywhere you go!






I'll go first, but please, try not to stare directly into my picture. the blurriness and terrible quality has been known to blind some people...






right, so in the cavernous trunk of my '90 Jetta, we have:


- a 59x8.75" home made danceboard for cruising and impressing the ladies

- a Rayne Agent and Girl "Skate Fairy". both for sliding.

- a Kracked Skulls Scimitar for cruising and carving

- a canvas bag containing knee and elbow pads, as well as two pairs of slide gloves and a helmet.

- a 10" Concept sub in a sealed box w/ 300 watt Alpine amp. gotta have that low end fun!

I've got two shortboards, one for rainy days, a super cruiser with indy 215's, my mini/slalom board, spare pair of slide gloves, spare set of tools, and a helmet.

EDIT: holy crap I can't believe I forgot about my slalom cones

nice boards dude. I lost my licence a little over a year ago and am in the process of getting it back. should get a car within the next couple weeks. i had a JL audio system in my last car but i'm selling it to get an image dynamics IDMAX12 1000w sub with an alpine MRD1000 prolly to go with it. I might have to make a custom foam padded board rack or something because its going to be LOUD. just waiting for those ####### at the reinstatement office to get back to me. i'll post pics when its done.

I have DVDs, books, and heaps of papers in the back-back. I have to do that thing where I peek underneath the door as I lift it, because I never know what will fall out. My helmet, pads, First Aid kit, and half-emptied bottles of water are in a bag in the back-back, too. But, lying across the middle seat, are my Golden Lefts cruiser, my Vanguard, and my Evo. Strapped in with the center seat belt, even! Safety first....

I dont have a picture but I think I usually carry: Knee pads, Helmet, Slide Gloves, 36" board for street, parks, ditches, sliding...And then a cruising/carving board with soft wheels. Tools, extra wheels/bearings, stickers, water, etc...That is pretty much what I bring wherever I drive.

A big 32 pack of waters, of what ever is left of them
helmet, knee pads, and slide gloves
an aluminum baseball bat
tire pump
and whatever board I was riding that day

Right now, in the back of my RAV4, I have:

36" Warbird GS
36" Warbird Hybrid
29" Warbird TS
38" Sector 9 Deep End (my "big" freestyle board)
32" Neighborhood (my regular freestyle board)
40" MSK Longshot (pool/park board)
Several sets of wheels
A bag with tools, first aid kit, and some really stinky Smith pads and my helmet
Several empty Gatorade bottles
2 towels
A sweatshirt

Here's what I drive around all the time, so I'm ready for any occasion 8)


The back of the car, notice the Longboard Larry and Loaded stickers. Everything is well hidden with the little roll top thingy and a moving blanket, so no thiefs know what's in there...


Alright, so on layer #1 we have:
-Element street deck (for screwing around and sliding)
-Protec helmet
-knee/elbow pads
-2 pairs of sliding gloves (one is cutting board, one is UHMW)
-beaten up skate shoes that I always use for skating, feel so broken in and good


Remove the first layer and the moving blanket and we have:
-LBL Old Skool Dancer
-S9 Supercruiser
-Loaded Vanguard
-black thingy on the left side is full of wrenches


Finally if you look under the blanket just behind the seats you can see the previously mentioned boards, along with some random old school board with very old Indys.

Actually, it's my wife's. I have three classic beetles. I like to stap the Hamboard to the roof rack of my '73, but it was windy that day, and that big hunk of wood would've got me blown off the road.

When I saw how ridiculous it looked I took a picture. I think it looks like a face w/ tounge sticking out.
