Cop radar guns us longboarding bombing at 53-57 mph!

This weekend we went up to GMR and Hwy 39 for my first time. Needless to say it was the best day I have had longboarding ever. Heres the funny thing two days ago I was commenting how I've always wanted a cop to come up to me and ask if he can clock me. Well what do you know, were about to hit Hwy 39 for our first time and a cop rolls up and asks if he can set up downhill and clock us. Enjoy!

That's awesome. I wish cops would want to clock my speeds. The only time I have ever had a situation with cops and longboarding is when some guy called the cops when we were bombing his street.

Yeah it was rad to be around so much talent up there and meet all you guys. The other sheriff was full of it. "It's illegal if you board anything over 2% grade" As we were leaving we saw the "good" cop again and asked him what was up. He just said that he doesn't care and they shouldn't either. Heres the other thing when we got up to GMR at 7:00 am me and my buddy Evan did the lower part before everyone else got there at 8:30. When I was coming down all of the sheriffs were having a meeting on the road (like 20-30 or em) and they all stopped what they were doing and watched me go by. I just waved and then stopped a little ways down and chatted with another sheriff, they were all cool. We just ran into a bad apple at the end there.

thats a sweet story. i was skating a garage in Santa Monica once when a cop came up and asked if he could try out my vanguard. he said that he hadn't longboarded in years, he was full of ####. he longboards like every weekend. he was a damn good rider. 5 runs later he bounced and called us into the station and told them we had permission to skate the garage the rest of the day. he was cool.

cops were bad to us at first but as soon as they realized that we weren't grinding on curbs and stuff that causes property damage they started leaving us alone. a cop in full uniform doing a garage bomb, that would have to win the photo contest a while back, should've gotten a pic.

Yeah great day and awesome cop. Also those rescue workers at GMR were really chill. When we walked past them they were asking us questions and cracking jokes. Definatly worth blowing off studying for finals for that.
