I think what you should do is go to an experienced lawer and see if you have done anything wrong. You were expressing concern about how much responsibility you have in this accident. The only way to know is to ask a professional look at it.

I watched this video a few times and you had no business yourself pulling up on the drivers side. Yeah, I get that you were shaken up but you took risks and should be man enough to accept that cack happens. So, suck it up and get over it

show it to the cops without saying that you're in the tape. simply get their opinions on what happened and what can be done. maybe go to the next city over where they'd be much less likely to want to go after you for a small offense (skating in the road) and more likely to put forth some comments.

and why can't your friend/brother/whoever tell you what the cops in his jurisdiction would do about that?

he crossed the double yellow in an attempt to avoid running into the jeep. i'd take the same evasive maneuver in a car if i didn't wanna rear-end someone. and the argument that "BOTH of you could have and prob should have pulled over towards the shoulder" is bogus...with how fast a car is able to slow down, the likelihood of the cameraman crashing into the back of the jeep is much greater than the likelihood that he'dve made it all the way across to the shoulder. seeing as the road ahead was clear, pulling to the left and then turning into the other road was the wisest choice.

i'm glad everyone's ok. hope that guy gets a cold, hard serving of justice dished out to him, thru you or via someone else

Hey, here's a wild flipping idea: Put the g-damned camera down, stop worrying about filming and start worrying about evading an accident and NOT making a bad thing worse!

They CHOSE to skate this busy road, they CHOSE to take the risks inherent in it that any idiot could suss out in seconds beforehand...talk about a bunch of whiny, sue happy nonsense
