Home made go pro like helm cam

Instead of straps im using velcro. The camera is a point and shoot digi cam that retails for about 100 and i put it in a small plastic case. Then i took some polycarb and cut a small sheet out and heated it up to bend to the helmet and up for where the camera sits. Then put velcro on the helmet, the plate, and the camera casing to all stick together. It holds really well, i migt use some tape just to reinforce it. Just finished tonight so maybe some footage tomorrow.

Yeah I have, 640x480 reso and as long as there is some decent light, the video is pretty clear with. Gonna get some footage this evening after work before the sun goes down to really test is out, but it feels solid when on the helmet even with just the velcro.

cool, i been wanting to make a helmet mount,
there is a bunch of different ways to do it,
some of the attachment accessories on gopro looks pretty interesting...
{side of the helmet, chest, how about another cam facing the rear..)

seen that box method on youtube before, cant remember what is was for though...

btw, check out the casio exilim (16x9 in 480p)
