So, I says to the guy...
New 36 inch Roger Bros topmount? I hardly know her!

Since my mom has her own photography studio in our house, I thought it would be only generous to have her take pictures that actually do justice to the board in real life instead of my crappy pics, thanks mom.
Anyways, I would also like to take this as the "unveiling" of my 0 degree baseplate, thanks to karrot. But it's actually wedged to 1 degree, just in case there was any negative caster or something. I was riding this setup on my other board, with a 33 inch wheelbase, and it was just stupid stable. Just way too huge for this kind of setup and for my tastes, so I bought this, and now it's set at the 29 inch wheelbase option.
Thanks Roger Bros.

Re: So, I says to the guy...

is that a 666 on the "karrot" baseplate ?
-
Re: So, I says to the guy...
Zero degree baseplate, eh?
I once messed around with wedges and made my rear 0, and the front about 70.
Twas an interesting setup, that's for sure.

Re: So, I says to the guy...
Very nice board.
I don't know what's more amazing, all the neg. riser, or the fact the board sits fairly level with all that riser and Max's hanger flipped around.

Re: So, I says to the guy...
It sits very very level, I wouldn't be stretching it too much to say it sits perfectly level. There's 1.25 inches of riser in the back, and the flipped 666 adds about another half inch of rise, and then the front has a 1/8" pad.

Re: So, I says to the guy...
So now that the back doesnt turn, does that reduce the chance of speedwobble to 0? Speedwobble is caused by the imbalance of "waves" between the front and back truck, but if the back truck isnt moving, there is no imbalance of waves to create.

Re: So, I says to the guy...
i know its a little different, but i got my mallard yesterday- set it up with the C2's to finally test it properly at speed...
put the front truck 2 soft bushings/tight with 40º and 4 hard/tight with 0º in the tail...have you found the tail to "trail"...it may be a combination of no leverage and coned flashbacks- but i've found that about 10º is pretty sweet, tell us how the 0º feels at speed and through a 90º corner...
i think its something i'm going to have to tweak more....

Well I've never gotten wobbles, or even anything close to wobbles, twitching or sketchyness. But then again the fastest I've taken it on the 33" WB was around 35-40mph. So who knows, I don't really have access to hills that take me much faster anymore.

Unless you are somewhere other that what your user info reads than why don't you just go hit booya? That's gotta be good for at least 53mph..

I have been seriously considering that recently. If there were lights, I could probably do it at night, but there aren't, so I'm pretty stuck with daytime. If there's some day that there's no school, but people still have to go to work, I would probably do it on that day, because I would definitely have to be in leathers, and that means the less people that see me, the happier I am.
I have been able to hit 40 on Viewcrest, which is like the backside of booya, it has some pretty awesome turns and is extremely fun.
